With the Championship final set to take place on Saturday, 11 November, the season finale will be one for the history books, with either Gotham FC or OL Reign lifting the trophy for the very first time.Nike teased the submission on none other than DeuxMoi’s Instagram – self-proclaimed curators of pop culture and the go-to digital platform for celebrity news and entertainment leaks.Whether or not the season will actually contend with the likes of ‘Succession’ and ‘The Crown’, it’s now in the hands of the film and television powers that be. There’s however no doubt that this has been the biggest NWSL season to date. Record-shattering attendance and viewership, tough competition week in and week out, and a Top 6 that wasn’t decided until the final day of the season – that’s what football is all about. And if things don’t work out with the Golden Globes, they can always add some music to Lynn Williams and Trinity Rodman’s choreography for a shot at a Grammy next year.
