Nike has unveiled a new collection with AMBUSH creative director and frequent collaborator Yoon Ahn, and this time the popular partnership explores the fashionable side of football.
The genderless collection fuses nightlife-inspired design with sportswear to create garments that can take the wearer from day to night, the pitch to the dancefloor. Ahn described the collection as one that can be dressed up or down and expresses both masculine and femme energy.
A black football kit is detailed in primary colours, with the number 34 – now a Nike x AMBUSH signature – the centre of attention on both the front and back of the jersey in red. Yellow panels add a pop of colour to the sides and sleeves, whilst a dual-branded crest sits in the middle of the chest with three light blue stars hovering above.
The collection also includes a new Air More Uptempo, arriving in muted colours with a luxe, leather upper. The Nike Swoosh remains in its usual position, with ‘AMBUSH’ written on both the tongue and heel.
For those that like to kick ball in style, a metallic silver football is up for grabs – the panels of the simple, yet striking design, are covered in ‘AMBUSH’ and Swooshes, taking the collection back to the pitch.
The new Nike x AMBUSH collection will be available to purchase from 4 August on the AMBUSH website, SNKRS, and select Nike stores.
