Nike has just brought back some iconic Barclays' nostalgia with the release of the new official 2019/20 Premier League winter match ball, the Nike Hi-Vis Merlin.

Inspired by the first-ever Nike Total 90 Aerow Hi-Vis version, which made its inaugural Premier League appearance during the 2004-05 season, the ball is the first drop in the Total 90 reboot from Nike, who will be dropping off more T90-inspired product later this year.

In a nod to the iconic heritage of the Total 90 Aerow football, a “T90” logo features on one of the panels of the new Premier League Hi-Vis Merlin footballs, and comes in the unforgettable yellow and blue colourway that made the OG a Prem Years classic.

It is the first time in Premier League history that the Hi-Vis football will have a different design to the regular season – updated with all the latest Nike technology – and will be used on-pitch from arrive on pitch from October 25.

Alongside the release of the 2019-20 ball, there's a limited number of the OG Hi-Vis Total 90 footballs being reissued, with the exact same detailing and specifications of the original-featuring 26-panel hand-stitched construction combined with texture flash casing. These will be available from Nike from 7 November, and will be numbered out of 600.

The 2019-20 Merlin balls will be available to cop now from Nike. Check out the detailing of both the 2019-20 hi-vid Merlin and limited-edition OG T90 ball below.
