It's been a busy couple of days for The King of Basketball. Earlier this week, LeBron James scored a mid-range fadeaway against the Thunder to surpass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the highest scoring NBA player of all-time.
Fast-forward 48 hours or so, and he's unveiled a full collection with Nike and Liverpool FC, a club he's been a minority owner since 2011.
'Bron had been spotted wearing a then-unreleased LBJ x LFC football shirt before a game against the San Antonio Spurs late last month, but this is our first look at the entire collection.
The capsule, which features a variety of football and basketball-inspired pieces, is the club's first official collaboration with James. Alongside the previously-seen football shirt, the release includes a basketball jersey and shorts, leisurewear pieces and two pairs of shoes.
Detailing on the basketball jersey brings together the two worlds of the collaborators, 'YNWA' (You'll Never Walk Alone) alternating with LeBron's 'STG' (Strive For Greatness) acronym in an all-over pattern in Liverpool red.
This is the second instalment of the Liverpool FC x LeBron link-up and embodies the long-standing connection between two global titans, celebrating their shared values and illustrious histories.
The co-branded line of product teased looks to seamlessly fuse the worlds of football and basketball in a way only previously seen by PSG and Jordan’s era-defining partnership, which is likely to have served as an influence for Liverpool, LeBron and Nike.
