Beats by Dre has added none other than World Cup winner Lionel Messi to their elite athlete roster.

As a Beats athlete, Messi will be featured across the brand’s upcoming marketing campaigns, promote its dynamic product lineup, and sport custom earphones, headphones and speakers.

The partnership marks Beats’ first MLS player signing since the brand announced its deal with the league as its official consumer audio partner earlier this year.

Beats announced their multi-year agreement with eight MLS clubs in February: Atlanta United, Columbus Crew, LAFC, Nashville SC, NYCFC, St.Louis CITY SC, Toronto FC and Messi’s Inter Miami.

When announcing Messi as their latest brand ambassador, the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner, was spotted wearing custom Inter Miami-inspired Studio Pro headphones – with the baby blue and pink colourway featuring the MLS club’s crest.

Messi joins LeBron James, Erling Haaland, Alessia Russo and more as the latest superstar to front the iconic audio brand.
