adidas just dropped the ‘Triunfo Dorado’ Lionel Messi F50 boots, nodding to his recent victories on the international stage as the GOAT looks to add more silverware to the cabinet this summer.

The new signature boots arrive in glittering gold with black and white details for a colourway befitting of a reigning Copa América champion. Rather than reworking the silhouette of the newly-relaunched F50 Elite, these gilded boots take on the template of one of adidas’ most iconic footy footwear staples – the F50 Prime.

The F50 Prime was released during the 2014/15 season – a campaign that saw Messi win the treble and break the all-time record for goals scored in a single La Liga season. Ten years after that release, what better way to invoke that same success than to slip back into those magic-making boots?

For the first time ever, the boots include the bespoke design specifications Messi chooses for his own on-pitch footwear, giving fans an authentic playing experience as they try to emulate his silky skills on the pitch.

The ‘Triunfo Dorado’ boots will be available to purchase on the adidas website and select retailers starting 20 June.
