The first-ever VERSUS 50 winners were honoured at an exclusive launch party in London with Chivas Regal.
A first-of-its-kind list that's been created to celebrate the trailblazers who are shaping the future of football, community and culture, the 'Class of 2024' honours the players, designers, storytellers, community leaders and more who have the made beautiful game a more diverse and creative space than at any other time in its history.
Taking over The Steel Yard in London for one night only, VERSUS and Chivas Regal came together to honour this year's winners and some special guests. The party was headlined by a live performance from West London rapper Bawo, while DJ sets from ELLADHC and Arthi kept the vibe right all night long.
Mayowa Quadri and Johnny Kay from VERSUS also took to the stage for a live conversation alongside two of this year's winners – Ceylon Andi Hickman and Miriam Walker-Khan – for a deep dive into the cultural significance of the first VERSUS 50.
The names of all 50 winners were immortalised on a special arch installation, while the VERSUS 50 trophy and a limited-edition Chivas Regal 'VERSUS 50' winners' bottle was also on display. Guests enjoyed a specially curated lounge area complete with EA SPORTS FC 25, and a photo area to capture the whole experience.
Chivas Regal kept the drinks rolling all night long with a signature cocktail menu – taken from iconic Chivas recipes – including their 'football highballs', created with fans in mind, and a sparkling welcome drink. Chivas Regal's global ambassador Rhys Wilson provided a toast to all VERSUS 50 winners in a highlight of the night.
Congratulations to all VERSUS 50 winners from the 'Class of 2024'.
We're only just getting started.
