EA Sports and the Premier League have just announced details for the new ePremier League season, giving most fans the best opportunity they'll ever get to represent their club on the pitch.

The ePL is the official eSports competition of the Premier League, with all 20 clubs fielding two gamers to play in the ePremier League finals next spring. Registration will open on December 3rd for the 2020/21 ePremier League, giving any FIFA 20 player the chance to become their club’s official player by taking part in the Online Qualification Round that takes place between January 4th – 31st.

Every PL club will have its own table and after a month of online matches, the top ranked players will face off in a mini tournament for the chance to represent their club in the ePL finals. Every club will field one PlayStation and one Xbox representative.

The finals have over the last two seasons reached more than 22 million fans and this season's will again be broadcast live on Sky Sports, Premier League channels and the EA SPORTS FIFA Twitch channel.

The reigning champion is Watford's "Hashtag Tom" Leese, who beat AFC Bournemouth's Marc "MarcMarleyyy" Marley in the cross-console Grand Final last season, taking home a £20,000 prize.

Speaking on the tournament, Hashtag Tom said:

The competition is open to anyone over the age of 16 and the winner will take home the trophy and a share of the £40,000 prize pot. There will also be seats on offer for top-ranking players at the EA SPORTS™ FIFA 21 Global Series (FGS) European Playoffs.
