Dana White is ready to plan 2018 without Conor McGregor.

While McGregor continues to trash talk the rest of the UFC's lightweight division on Twitter, and try to bait Floyd Mayweather into a rematch via Instagram, the world is no closer to knowing whether McGregor will finally step back into the Octagon in 2018.

Having not defended his UFC lightweight title since he won it in November 2016, pressure is mounting on Dana White to strip The Notorious one of his championship belt.

While Dana isn't ready to make that leap just yet, he told the Daily Express that he is ready to move the UFC on – with our without Conor McGregor:

"If Conor McGregor fights next year, that’ll be awesome. If Conor McGregor doesn’t fight, the UFC is going to go on. I’ve been hearing this since 2003. ‘What are you going to do when Chuck Liddell’s gone? What are you going to do when Georges St-Pierre leaves? You’re in big trouble when Anderson Silva’s gone! The list goes on and on. Ronda Rousey. Last year was the best in the company’s history. So we’re going to keep finding new talent and putting on the best fights in the world. That’s what we’re going to continue to do, with or without anybody."

After Russian fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov continued his undefeated streak with a dominant win at UFC 219, McGregor took to Twitter to call out the contender and told him to "get on your f***ing knees and beg me" for a fight.

McGregor's future is still far from clear.
