Conor McGregor has fulfilled another prophecy.
The combat sports superstar is claiming to be the new face at the top of the mountain when it comes to the world's highest paid athletes, overtaking Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Irishman made the claim after he was unveiled as the new face of Burger King. McGregor famously met Ronaldo in 2016 and told the Real Madrid frontman that he'll soon overtake him on the Forbes Rich List.

Speaking on Instagram, McGregor said:
"I am also really interested to see this years Forbes highest paid athletes list. I have now surpassed Cristiano Ronaldo as I told him I would in 2016. Floyd as a retired fighter that makes ZERO substantial revenue outside of them ropes is not on the list, and in the long game, is already dead."
He became the first MMA fighter to ever make the list in 2016 when he was named the 24th richest man in sport and he called out the man in top spot – Cristiano Ronaldo – when they linked up before his rematch with Nate Diaz.
With it being reported that McGregor earned £77m from ‘The Money Fight’ alone, he could overtake Ronaldo’s expected earnings of £71m and eclipse him in the rankings.
