An all-star line up of investors are bringing football to San Diego.
Eden Hazard, Yohan Cabaye and Demba Ba are among the backers of a new team to be based in San Diego that will compete in the North American Soccer League (NASL), the second tier of football in the United States.
The three players are also joined by former Fenerbache striker, Moussa Sow, who plays with Demba Ba for the Senegal national team.
Eden Hazard said: "We can't wait to get started and win some games. San Diego is a beautiful place and the love and passion the people have for soccer made this an easy choice for us. My friends and I are honoured to turn this dream into a reality."
The investment was announced by Demba Ba in a video that was published by the NASL.
Whilst it might seem a random mix of players, they've all played with eachother at some stage in the past. Hazard and Cabaye combined at Lille, Cabaye and Ba at Newcastle and finally Hazard and Ba at Chelsea.
The club will make its debut in the NASL in spring 2018.
