David Beckham has unveiled that he’s working with Netflix on a documentary series on his life and career.
As one of the most iconic players in the game, it’s only right Becks’ journey up the ranks from United wonderkid to global superstar is given the cinematic treatment it deserves.
The documentary will focus on Beckham himself as part of a definitive multi-part series that will bring “the world of the Premier League in the 2000’s to life.”
The series will focus on Beckham’s humble working class beginnings in East London, while exploring the resilience showed en route to becoming one of the biggest stars in the world on and off the pitch.
The news confirmed by Beckham himself on his Instagram, where he said: “I’m excited to confirm that I am partnering with Netflix on a documentary series about my life and career … The series will feature unseen archive, untold stories as well as interviews with the people who have been a part of my journey. The series is directed and produced by Academy Award winners Fisher Stevens and John Battsek. Watch this space…”
