Jameson brought together people from all corners of the footballing community earlier this week, officially launching their four-year partnership with the EFL.

Held at Classic Football Shirts’ London store, the two linked up to host a quiz night presented by Sky Sports’ David Prutton, with the likes of Dion Dublin, Adebayo Akinfenwa and Maisie Adam going head-to-head in a battle of the brains.

The best-selling whiskey brand announced its partnership with the footballing body earlier this month in a deal that will last until the end of the 2026/27 season. It’s their first official partnership in professional football, adding to a range of work they’ve undertaken within the beautiful game already – including an ongoing sponsorship with Powerleague.

As part of the deal, Jameson will be involved across the three leagues, having a presence with all 72 Member Clubs – the largest single body of professional clubs in European football. On top of that, they will also feature on the EFL’s digital and social channels, and those five all-important Wembley finals too.

Cult hero of English football Adebayo Akinfenwa expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, saying: “Jameson and the EFL – what a combination. To have a big brand like Jameson come on board really shows the attraction of the EFL.”
