Stone Island has launched ‘Storia: Updated’ – a re-edition of the brand’s acclaimed book, telling the story of Stone Island from beginning to present.
With the brand’s story continuing to evolve as time passes, ‘Storia: Updated’ includes a new, 56-page chapter detailing everything that has happened since it was initially published in 2020.
Going back to the beginning, the book starts with founder Massimo Osti’s origin story and the building blocks that gained the brand such a huge cult following, especially on football terraces. With stunning still life photography and archive pieces littered throughout, this book is a must-have for any Stone Island lover.
Whilst the book focuses heavily on the evolution of design, the new chapter is all about the evolution of the Stone Island community. Written by Charlie Porter, the chapter looks at the different tribes that engage with the brand, from football and music to art and film.
As a brand at the sartorial forefront of so many subcultures, the book delves deeper into each community, analysing how they echo the sense of “famiglia” at Stone Island’s core.
