Vinícius Jr, Gabriel Martinelli, Endrick and more than 100 of Brazil’s biggest players have joined Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports agency, following a South American expansion that sees Roc acquire Brazilian agency, TFM.
The São Paulo-based agency’s talent roster of over 100 footballers joins the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku on the Roc Nation Sports International roster via the creation of a new base in Brazil, headed by TFM’s founder Federico Pena.
The expansion is a milestone for Roc Nation Sports, which first entered football with a high-profile back in 2019. Since then, the firm has mostly focused on building out a boutique agency representing some of the brightest young players in the game but this acquisition sees their client base triple from 40 to over 120 athletes.
The move comes after Jay Z was seen pictured with Vini Jr in May earlier this year. Speaking on the move, Michael Yormark (VP of Roc Nation Sports International), said: “You think about soccer and you think about talent, Brazil is probably the first market that you would put on the top of your list as it relates to a wish list for acquisition.”
