Skepta has received Chieftaincy in his home community of Ijebu Ode in Nigeria.
Beyond being known as one of the fiercest MCs in a clash, the North London-born Microphone Champion has achieved some great titles in his career, most recently bagging the 2016 Mercury Prize for fourth studio album 'Konnichiwa,' and the Ivor Novello songwriter of the year award – but his latest title might be the most impressive of all, Chief Amuludun of Odo Aje.
The MC was in Nigeria for Boy Better Know Africa's 'Homecoming' event, a 3-day pop-up festival of music from J Hus, Not3s, Wizkid, exclusive product from Off-White and Patta and sports, and to complete the trip Skepta was honoured with a Chieftaincy title in his home community of Ijebu Ode, alongside his parents.
Skepta posted a video of his time in Ijebu Ode.

Skepta's parents, originally from Nigeria, emigrated to London before he was born, and the two joined him along with Naomi Campbell, as he was given his new title.
In more news, Skepta will be a panelist for Nike's London: ON AIR event alongside Nate Jobe, and Vice President Creative Director of Colour Design, Courtney Dailey, and Alexandra Hackett (aka Mini Swoosh).
