The MOBO Awards will return to Leeds this year for its 22nd annual celebration of the best in urban music.

The First Direct Arena played host to the show back in 2015, as then outsider Stormzy claimed the award for Best Male, with Section Boyz and Ella Eyre also amongst the big winners.

MOBO Founder, Kanya King, spoke of this year's awards: "Looking at the list of musical talent this year, it promises to be another exciting celebration of the best in urban music”, with Leeds Councillor Judith Blake adding "It is hugely important that as we bid for European Capital Culture we find every opportunity to showcase the cultural diversity of the city on an international stage and MOBO Awards, with its support for emerging artists and world wide reputation for championing music of black origin, is a fantastic platform for this."

The MOBO Awards will take place on Wednesday 29th November at the First Direct Arena in Leeds.
