Virginia Dream FC has released new home and away shirts for the Spring/Summer 2023 season, and they’re just as dreamy as the club’s name suggests.

Two kits that imitate sunrise and the night sky, Dream Pink and Azulejo, reflect the club’s motto ‘Soccer in the Clouds.’ The two stunning colourways were hand-dyed using the Japanese technique Shibori Itajime, which utilises boards clamped together on folded fabric to create different patterns.

Each shirt is unique in its own way, but together they create a uniform aesthetic, mirroring the diversity of the team itself. Both shirts were hand-dyed by founder Lucas Mendes and creative director Jared Soares in their kitchens.

Virginia Dream was founded in 2022 and is rooted in creativity and forward thinking that supports players both on and off the pitch. The club aims to create an organic connection between soccer, art, fashion and music, sparking a unique culture built around collaboration and hard work.

The club will be looking to win big this summer in their new kits at The Soccer Tournament, the first ever 7v7 competition made up of current and former professionals from around the world. Competing for a $1 million prize, Virginia Dream will play against Wrexham AFC, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and teams made up of MLS and US Men’s and Women’s National Team legends.

The drop is available to pre-order now on the club’s website.
