The Chinese New Year is only a few weeks away, and to celebrate another Year of the Dragon, PUMA and Manchester City have unveiled a special-edition kit and lifestyle capsule.
The bespoke jersey at the centre of the seasonal capsule merges Manchester City’s history with Chinese culture, resulting in a stunning kit to kick off the New Year.
The Year of the Dragon represents strength and good fortune, with the ‘Wood Dragon’ specifically symbolising creativity. Bringing these characteristics to life, the monochromatic jersey features tonal, hand-drawn, wood-carved dragon illustrations – wrapping around the front of the shirt in the same pattern as the Etihad’s turrets.
The rest of the capsule features a T-shirt and tracksuit, both illustrated with a dragon woven through the club’s crest.
