To celebrate their 120th anniversary, Atlético Madrid have released a limited edition kit in the club's original colours of blue and white.

Atlético Madrid was founded on 26 April 1903 by a group of Basque students living in Madrid as an offshoot of 'Athletic Club' - a Biscayan team at the time - and adopted the side's colours of blue and white for their first-ever kit. And to commemorate the Spanish side's 120th anniversary, Nike are running back and taking inspiration from the first time 'Atlético' donned the historic strip.

The limited-edition shirt utilises the current Nike template but the red and white that gave Los Colconeros their nickname has been ditched - a colourway that didn't become part of the club's identity unit 1911 - with the shirt's base arriving in a 50/50 block colour split, whilst the sleeves complete the look in blue and the collar and cuffs in white.

Although the kit lacks the exact collars and buttons seen on the 1903 iteration, the anniversary shirt does hero the club's first crest - a belt surrounding a football with the interlocked initials of 'Athletic Club' on top.

Atlético Madrid will debut the commemorative kit against Mallorca at home on 26 April, with the kit available to purchase now via the club's online store.
