Hummel has released the Danish women’s home and away kits ahead of the World Cup this summer, drawing inspiration from pop art and comic books to depict their players as the nation's very own superheroes.
The classic red and white colourways of both kits are covered in subtle halftone graphics and speech bubbles to reflect the style and layout of a comic strip. Along with the new design, the Danish sportswear brand's trademark chevrons run down the shirts' shoulders and blend seamlessly into the geometric layout.
Hummel CEO Allan Vad Nielsen said: “The jersey is unlike any other national team jerseys we have seen before. Together with DBU, we have created a design that pays tribute to the women players as superheroes, and we have taken inspiration from a wild pop art style to create something truly eye-catching.
"We believe that this jersey emphasises just how cool the Danish women are, and we can’t wait to see them wearing the jersey on the pitch.”
The new kits are available to purchase via the national team’s online shop.
