Reiss Nelson is about to become the latest in a long line of promising English players moving abroad for a chance at first team football.

The 18-year-old winger has long been tipped as Arsenal's next big thing but is reportedly about to follow in Jadon Sancho, Ademola Lookman and Mandela Egbo's footsteps by looking to Bundesliga for a breakthrough in senior football.

According to Goal, Nelson will make a permanent transfer for Hoffenheim before the end of August.

Reiss Nelson made 16 appearances for Arsenal's first team last season – including eight in Europe – and signed his first professional contract with the Gunners two years ago.

He was named Premier League 2 Player of the Year last season, scoring 10 goals at reserve level and helping Arsenal to the PL2 title.

Still just a teenager, Nelson currently finds himself competing with Alex Iwobi, Danny Welbeck, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for a wide place in Arsenal's starting XI.
