Arsenal's current crop of young talent look set to be given much more prominent roles next season following Freddie Ljungberg's appointment to the club's first team set up.

Reiss Nelson and Emile Smith-Rowe will return from loans in the Bundesliga to try and establish themselves in the first team, while the likes of Eddie Nketiah and Joe Willock will be looking to cement starting berths after their first taste of first team action last season.

Former legend Freddie Ljungberg is set to have a more substantial role as he's Arsenal looking to improve the pathway between the academy and the senior set up by advising Unai Emery on which players are ready to be promoted within the club.

Arsenal also have to contend with a modest £40 million summer transfer budget this summer, as reported by renowned BBC Sport journalist David Ornstein, with the club are now looking to promote players within the club rather than sign from further afield.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea look set to be looking internally rather than going on massive spending sprees in 2019/20. Another young baller who is set to benefit from this is Callum Hudson-Odoi, who will be looking to step up on a reported new 5-year, £100,000-a-week deal following Eden Hazard's departure from Stamford Bridge.
