The winners of the final – set to take place at Wembley in May, 2024 – will now receive £430,000, up from £100,000 in 2022-23. As it stands, winners of the men’s FA Cup currently receive £2 million.The funding uplift comes after last year’s 10-fold increase, which brought the total prize fund to £3 million. The recent announcement showcases the FA’s commitment to the Women’s FA Cup and their aims for it to be the most prestigious women’s domestic club competition in the world. The funding will come into full effect from the third round proper, when second-tier sides enter the competition. The 12 Women’s Super League sides, including current holders and five-time winners Chelsea, join in round four. The Women’s FA Cup first round proper starts on Sunday, November 12.
