It's that time of the year again already, with Tuttosport unveiling the top 40 players under 21 in world football ahead of their prestigious 2021 Golden Boy award.

Five Englishmen have been included in the list, with Leicester City full-back Luke Thomas, Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka, BVB boss Jude Bellingham, PSV's prolific forward Noni Madueke, and (Money) Mason Greenwood all in the running for this year's gong.

The award is for young ballers under the age of 21 playing in Europe's top leagues who have lit it up in the last 12 months. Previous winners include Wayne Rooney (2004), Lionel Messi (2005), Sergio Aguero (2007), Kylian Mbappe (2017) and last year's winner Erling Haaland.

Saka, Greenwood and Bellingham are three of the frontrunners for this year's award, who face competition from the likes of Eduardo Camavinga, Jamal Musiala and Pedri.

Take in the 40-man shortlist below, with 20 names set to be decided as part of a final list next month.
