Football is coming together this weekend to kick off biggest ever conversation around mental health.
New research shows just 1 in 3 football fans regularly talk about mental health with their friends, so to spark the conversation, two weekends in February have been dedicated to talking about mental health, with every football team from across throughout all the leagues in the country dedicating their matches to Heads Up, a partnership between The FA and Heads Together.
The ‘Heads Up Weekends’ were launched today at a table football tournament attended by HRH The Duke of Cambridge, who is spearheading the campaign to harness the influence and popularity of football to normalise the conversation around mental health, working closely with charity partners Mind, CALM and Sporting Chance.
