Wolves have just announced Wolves Records, the first-ever record label of a UK football club.
Headed up by massive Wolves fan and musician S-X, who will work as a production consultant for the club, the ground-breaking venture will seek to align the worlds of music and sport "with the aim of giving unprecedented exposure to emerging artists."
Following on from the Olympique Marseille's lead with the release of their rap label with BMG in 2020, Wolves Records' initial focus will be on nurturing and developing talent local to the Midlands.
As per a statement on their website, Wolves Records will also look to "invest in the regeneration of the local community, with the aim to develop a much broader reach across international artists of all styles and genres."
Speaking about the move, S-X said: "I am genuinely looking forward to seeing how Wolves Records can impact the music industry and support new artists. I'm also very proud it's my club that is going to be the first in the UK to venture into music in such an authentic and exciting way".
