EA Sports is on the road to the FIFA eWorld Cup.

The studio behind FIFA 18 has unveiled the biggest ever competitive tournament, which will see the undisputed FIFA world champion crowned in August 2018.

The Road to the FIFA eWorld Cup 2018 is a multi-staged, global journey. Competitors will qualify based on FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) Champions Weekend League online performance and at blockbuster live qualifying events throughout the year.

Through the qualifying stage, EA and FIFA will identify the top-ranked 128 competitors (64 competitors representing PlayStation 4 and 64 competitors representing Xbox One) to advance to the EA SPORTS FIFA 18 Global Series Playoffs, vying to be one of the 32 stars to qualify for the FIFA eWorld Cup 2018.

In addition to qualifying via performance in FUT Champions Weekend League, there will also be yet-to-be-announced public qualifying competitions, hosted by EA Sports partners.

The race to qualify kicks off on November 3rd in the coming Weekend League. The top 128 ranked players in FUT Champions from November to January will be invited to the first Global Series Play-Off event.
