With the Women’s World Cup only a month away, EA Sports has given FIFA 23 players the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the tournament with a new game update.

The update comes with three different modes that allow players to embark on their Women’s World Cup journey: ‘Lead Your Country’, ‘Tournament Mode’ and ‘Kick Off’.

‘Lead Your Country’ allows players to take on the tournament from the perspective of one particular player and captain your chosen nation to victory. Gamers can choose between taking on the challenge as either an existing player, like Australia’s Sam Kerr, or as their own custom avatar.

‘Tournament Mode’ is a traditional, single-player tournament mode where players can choose from one of the 32 qualified nations and will compete against their same teams in the Group Stages of the competition. Whilst ‘Kick Off’ mode gives gamers the opportunity to go head-to-head against friends in their own Group Stage matches or high stakes knockout rounds.

The update will be available to play at the end of June and comes complete with cinematics, commentary, and football’s most coveted trophy (virtually of course).
