Images via Instagram French fashion house Louis Vuitton has designed two trophy cases for the upcoming Ballon d’Or ceremony, bringing another touch of class to what’s already the crème de la crème of football.Taking place at the Théâtre de Chatelet in Paris on October 30, the Ballon D’Or awards will celebrate the best footballers across both the men’s and women’s game, and this year – in partnership with France Football and Amaury Media – Louis Vuitton’s designed two bespoke trunks for the famous ball-shaped awards.Each trunk has two hinged fronts with a ‘V’ painted in gold that stands for ‘Victory’ and ‘Vuitton’. Both also arrive in the brand’s iconic brown leather, covered in the classic ‘LV’ monogram and have been handcrafted in the historic Asnières workshops, just outside Paris.Louis Vuitton has a history of designing trunks and cases for some of sport’s most famous trophies.
