The Basement and New Balance hosted the 2023 edition of the Basement Cup, taking fashion’s favourite football tournament to North London.

16 mixed gender teams battled it out at Trent Park Country Club to try and clinch the title. Last year’s reigning champions PLACES+FACES tried to hold onto the crown, but this year’s competition saw a new victor take the throne.

YouTube ballers Baiteze FC walked off the pitch as winners after beating The Basement FC 3-1 in the final, in a competitive tournament that included some of the most influential brands in the football x fashion space, including VERSUS, BAPE, Stüssy, CLINTS, P45 and more.

Fittingly given the teams taking part, the fits were just as fire on the pitch as they were off it, with each team sporting custom New Balance kits to rep their set.

Wingstop kept bellies full all day long, and when fans weren’t watching the action, mini golf and zorb football let them get their own kicks in. New Balance raffled off exclusive prizes for lucky spectators, and music flowed throughout.

The VERSUS team may not have made it all the way this year, but we’ll be back stronger. Until next time.
