Sunderland striker Josh Maja has completed a £3.5m transfer to Girondins de Bordeaux.
The 20-year old moves to France to become the latest Young Lion plying their trade in Europe, joining the Aquitaine club after scoring 16 times in 30 first team appearances for the Black Cats this season.
Maja, who was an academy graduate for the Wearsiders, was full of respect for his old employers, "Would like to express how much of an honour it was to break through into senior football at such a special club, that is Sunderland AFC. I am wishing everyone involved with SAFC all the best going forward, and I know the club will return to where it belongs."
