Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has asked the FA and Premier League about the possibility of hosting a Premier League All-Star game, akin to the annual NBA equivalent.
The NBA's best players are drafted into two opposing teams every year, where fans and the media vote in 12 players who they want to see play in each team, with the two players who get the most votes becoming captains.
Lukaku has now proposed the idea of a North v South equivalent made up of Premier League players and directly tagged both the FA and Premier League with his idea to try and make it come to fruition.
Here’s an idea for you guys... the nba has all-star game! Don’t you guys think we should organise one in the @premierleague.. The north vs the south! And the fans vote... what do you guys think? @premierleague @FA ??

The idea has been toyed with a number of times over the years but never actually been taken seriously. It’d certainly be interesting to see Manchester City, United and Liverpool players on one team and Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal players on the other - but would Lukaku actually make your team?
