The CIES Football Observatory have just unveiled the top 50 list of the U20 players from the big-5 leagues.

Using the CIES algorithm, English wonderkid Jadon Sancho easily secures top spot with an estimated value of €150M – which is more than double of his nearest competition. Borussia Dortmund’s 19-year-old winger easily outranks the next highest players in Arsenal’s Mattéo Guendouzi (€70M) and AS Roma’s Nicolò Zaniolo (€67M) in the list, which has spotlighted some of the world's highest-rated young ballers.

Four other big-5 league players born on or after January 1st 1999 have an estimated value greater than €50M: German playmaker Kai Havertz (Bayer Leverkusen), English holding midfielder Declan Rice (West Ham), Italian 'keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma (Milan AC) and Brazilian forward Vinícius Júnior (Real Madrid). Footballers from 18 national associations feature in the top 50 list. The most represented country is France (13 players), followed by England (9).

Other notable additions in the top 20 of the list include Fulham winger Ryan Sessegnon, who ranked in 10th with a value of €43.5 million, Burnley winger Dwight McNeil, who ranks at 15th on the list with a value of €28.6 million, Man City playmaker Phil Foden, who ranks in 18th with €21.9 million and Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi, who ranks joint 20th with €20.3 along with Juve forward Moise Kean.
