Kappa have dropped off two new wavey "Kombat XX" collections for a couple of their biggest clubs – AS Monaco and Real Betis – for the anniversary of the iconic Kombat jersey that the brand brought out 20 years ago.

The original Kombat jersey was the first skin-tight jerseys worn by professional clubs, created to stretch 40cm longer than normal jerseys. The legendary kits were worn by Monaco in their 1999-2000 Ligue 1 triumph before being donned by Italy between 2000-02.

Alongside the wavey Kombat XX shirts, the apparel range features a drippy throwback range which brings together two-tone collars, embroidered logos, and logo-heavy branding on two jerseys and a tracksuit for both clubs in their traditional home colours.

Both young players of AS Monaco and Real Betis were chosen to model the shoot, with Monaco youngsters Abdou Salam Ag Jiddou, Giuseppe Iglio, Maxence Toutain, Gobe Gouano and Moussa Sylla donning the Ligue 1 outfit's range at AS Monaco's home ground while Mohamed Mizzian, Raúl García de Haro and Roberto González Bayan wear the Betis version in the Benito Villamarín.
