New Era is marking the launch of their NBA collection this season by partnering with grassroots youth basketball organisation, Right Development Foundation (RDF).

RDF has become a safety hub for thousands of young people across London from the age of six upwards within community halls, leisure centres, schools, parks and libraries. Their vision is to restore pride in young people and their communities, bring people together, and providing life changing opportunities through sport.

Founder Lamar Robert has helped to cultivate a community of talented young people by delivering a range of sports clubs in schools and holiday half terms. Speaking about RDF, Robert told VERSUS:

"We have national league and grassroots opportunities for kids aspiring to participate in sports and we have become a community, building strong bonds with young people, so they have someone to turn to. To see 130+ kids aged between 13-21 travel to Barking Riverside in the middle of no where every Tuesday – and then over to The Regal in South London on Thursday to play basketball in the summer – is amazing."

This wide diverse group of young people, from over the world, the looks on their faces, their attitude towards the summer league and the gratitude within their hearts...it's just priceless! This is more than just a Summer League. Our 'MAKE IT HAPPEN' campaign has became a culture, it's something the team now says when in doubt, it's how can we MAKE IT HAPPEN. The impact has been phenomenal!"

Introducing a bold new collection with the help of young ballers from London, the collection from New Era features block colours, big logos and new takes on classic headwear styles, with the entire line united by its strong graphic style.

Focusing on some of the NBA’s greatest teams – the Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls and Boston Celtics  – the collection was donned by RDF members and shot by the talented Danika Magdelena, who brought the capsule to life with a candid visual lookbook. Check out the portraits of RDF wearing New Era x NBA Collection below, and cop the range now from New Era stores and at neweracap.co.uk now.
