Raheem Sterling is one of the most influential athletes of his generation and in a new partnership with Nike, he's helping to create a brighter future for young ballers in his home borough of Brent.
The England international is launching a new programme to transform grassroots football in the area that made him, establishing coaching clinics for schools in the borough that don't have official football coaches – thereby improving access to the beautiful game and potentially creating a new generation of gifted players like Raheem.
Alongside Brent Schools Football Association, Sterling and Nike will also support the involvement of a Brent Schools football team in the London Youth Games – reigniting the very squad that made Raheem fall in love with the game.
We joined Raheem Sterling in Brent – as he filmed a new Just Do It spot with Nike – to create an exclusive film that takes a deeper look at Raheem's legacy and why it means so much to give back to the community that made him:
"I just feel if people and kids around areas like this have full belief in themselves, I know that there’s more in this world. Everything is possible. Once you put your dedication and your time into something that you truly believe you’re good at, you will succeed."
