Welcome to 'The Kit Fit', a new series that pairs the game's waviest jerseys with the best street style pieces to produce clean, football-inspired fits for some of the most fashion-forward ballers in the game.

As someone who is North London born and bred, Jess Naz is someone who has been wearing Air Max all her life. When it comes to a trainer synonymous with the streets in and around Tottenham, it doesn't get much more iconic than the Air Max 95. Last year, Nike designed an whole sneaker pack celebrating the city's love for the model – and this year they've taken that relationship to new levels with Spurs' 95-inspired Air Max Collection jersey.

Inspired by the timeless, OG colourway of the model, the new Spurs shirt goes full throttle in amplifying the shoe on the shirt. Having already referenced Nike Tn's and applying streetwear influence on to their match-worn jerseys this season, Nike and Spurs have upped the ante on this new kit.

Taking the same grey hues seen on the sneaker with the neon accents, the jersey leverages the impactful nature of the Air Max 95 and the synergy between Nike sneaker heritage and North London culture to create an authentic and locally-resonant collection for the streets of N17.

Having grown up in Tottenham, Jess was the hometown hero for her club and the standout player during the 2018/19 campaign, where she came up clutch to score the goal which saw Spurs get promoted to the top-flight.

Naz is a person and player who will always rep for her area – and Spurs new Air Max kit is a jersey that does this to the full. Linking up with Jess over FaceTime, we found some clean pieces from the Nike store to pair up with Spurs' 2020/21 Air Max-inspired Jersey and deck her out with a clean, street-ready Kit Fit.

Jess is all about giving back to her local area – where she cultivated her craft and became one of the most exciting players of her generation. “When I used to play football with my brother, it didn’t matter that I wasn’t a male. They embraced me in the community as a footballer – I just want to continue to create a sense of unity within the area."

The fits she wears today can translate as flexibly in a kickabout in Northumberland Park as it would worn down Tottenham High Road. Spurs' Air Max shirt, paired up with a clean Nike Sportswear Down Jacket, Tech Fleece Joggers and the corresponding Air Max 95 OGs is a street-ready look designed with her local area in mind.

As a streetwear fan herself, Naz has collected over 30 pairs of Air Max in the last 3-4 years, and looking good on the street and the pitch is an essential part of that. "Alongside having help from my community, I've got to look right in whatever I'm doing out and about. I keep things very casual with a sporty sort of vibe. Having this sort of fit would give me the confidence to go out to my local park and play without being judged."
