adidas have just announced their new official partnership with the UEFA Women's Champions League alongside the launch the new Official Match ball for the 2021/22 group stage.

Every journey has a humble beginning and in celebration of the return of the competition, adidas visited the home pitches and courts of elite players all over the world to go back to where it all began.

In an effort to shine a light on the grassroots beginnings of a number of the athletes now competing in the biggest club tournament, the supporting imagery leverages the power and prestige of the UCL and UWCL ball and plinth by placing it in the cages, playgrounds and parks where some of our top adidas players started their journey.
