Barcelona have dropped their 2018/19 home jersey, which serves as a uniting force for the city’s 10 districts.

Each of those districts is represented on the jersey by a stripe and, with every stripe of an even width across the new shirts, which of course feature Barca's classic blue and red colourway.

They donned the shirt in last night's 1-0 victory over Real Sociedad, which was Andres Iniesta's last ever game for Barcelona. The iconic midfielder got an emotional send-off in a packed out Nou Camp, where he stayed out on the pitch until 1 am to reflect on his incredible career at the Catalan club.

Speaking to the crowd after the game, Iniesta said, "I will move on and carry you all in my heart forever. I thank you for all the love and respect that you've given me since I arrived as a child, I now leave as a man."

Pete Hoppins, Nike Football Apparel Senior Design Director said that the kit was designed with the people who look up to Inesta most, “Iniesta is an icon and a hero to the people who live in those districts, so I think it’s very apt he will get to wear the new kit for his final game for the club.”

The kit's central theme continues from March’s “The Ball Makes Us More” campaign, which documents the emotional ties the players and fans have to the club.
