After no other countries went up against the Football Association’s entry to host the tournament, The FA successfully won the bid to host the tournament for the first time since 2005. The decision to bid was part of the FA's ‘Gameplan for Growth’ strategy to grow the women’s game.
FA head of women's football Baroness Campbell said: "This is fantastic news for the FA, the country and for the development of girls' and women's football in England."
With Wembley hosting the final for the tournament, Brighton & Hove Albion's Amex Stadium, Brentford's Community Stadium, MK Dons' Stadium MK, Manchester City's Academy Stadium, Nottingham Forest's City Ground, Peterborough's Abax Stadium, Rotherham's New York Stadium, Sheffield United's Bramall Lane and Southampton's St Mary's Stadium will all also be used in 2021.
