Images via adidas As the Predator franchise approaches its landmark 30th anniversary, adidas reveals Predstrike – a special edition drop showcasing the latest technical innovations that will usher in a new era of goalscoring and shape the future of Predator for the next 30 years.The latest Predator release, was built with a 50/50 gender parity in testing and has undergone a series of updates from its predecessors to cope with the demands of today’s game. Its Control Frame 2.0 technology has made the Predstrike the lightest Predator in history – weighing in at just 195g – and has moved away from a two-part configuration, instead working in harmony with an external heel counter to help reduce heel slip. Prestrike’s refreshed synthetic material, HybridTouch 2.0, has a suede-like feel that replicates the adaptability of leather and also provides a moulded fit with cushioning in key contact areas for comfort and a soft touch on the ball. Whilst the boots’ Strikeskin – the hallmark of any Predator – features strategically placed rubber fins in strike zones to support ball grip for precision shot-making. The silhouette’s distinctive bright-orange colourway lets opponents know they’re taking on a Predator player from kick-off. Players will also have the choice of three different Predstrike styles: Elite Primeknit adaptive laced fit, Elite Laceless or Elite with Foldover Tongue – an iconic Predator feature. Following the boots’ on-pitch debut by Jude Bellingham last month, Predstrike will continue to be worn by some of the world’s best including Gabriel Jesus, Alessia Russo, Julián Álvarez, Kaddidiatu Diani and Pedri.Predstrike boots will go on sale from December 15 via adidas.com, selected adidas stores and retailers.
