Héctor Bellerín has announced the launch of Gospel Estudios – a new sustainable clothing brand that he’s had in the works for a while now.
Gospel Estudios is a ‘not-ready-to-wear’ label inspired by the Spanish culture and heritage that surrounds Bellerín and the team behind the brand. The Real Betis baller is known not only for being one of the best-dressed players to ever grace the game, but for being vocal about climate change and championing sustainability whenever possible. A made-to-order, slow fashion label merges those two aspects of his life beautifully, resulting in a brand everyone will want to get their hands on when they get the chance.
Bellerín isn’t the first footballer-turned-designer, but he is certainly carving out a new, disruptive space in both football and fashion that challenges the status quo. The proof is in the description of Gospel Estudios itself – ‘a dependent, not-ready-to-wear brand’ in his own words, reversing common phrases in the industry to suit the coolest new label on the block.
Though we’ve only been given a sneak peek of what’s to come from Gospel Estudios – artfully ruched cargos and hoodies that double as balaclavas – there is already so much to look forward to. No products are available to purchase on the website just yet, but that first drop will be something special.
