Manchester City have unveiled their away kit for the 2017/18 season out in Los Angeles during their pre-season tour.
Manchester City’s heritage is evident in the new kit's distinctive head-to-toe maroon look. Shades of maroon have recurred throughout the club’s kits over the years. Notably, the 1956 FA Cup Final winning team wore a dark maroon jersey with white pinstripes, and the 1967-68 League title-winning side’s kit incorporated maroon detailing.
The new away kit's look is duly matched by Nike innovation. Designed for and tested by the world’s leading footballers, AeroSwift kits have engineered knit zones on the shirt that create a subtle geometric pattern and enhance fit for the athlete in motion.
The sides of the kit feature a black stripe with blue underlay that runs the length of the shirt and blue shorts. The stripes maximize ventilation by expanding when the player is in motion. Finally, the City blue-trimmed socks incorporate NikeGrip technology for the ultimate foot-to-boot connection.
Featuring the same performance innovations as the outfield kit, Manchester City's goalkeeper apparel, as worn by recent arrival Ederson, is made up of green shirt, shorts and socks — traditional colors for a goalkeeper in English football.

The 2017-18 Manchester City away kit is available beginning July 27 at nike.com and mancity.com/shop.
