In celebration of 20 years of Mercurial, NIKEiD is bringing back some classic Mercurial templates that were donned by previous World Cup heroes.
You'll instantly recognise the Mercurial graphics from previous tournaments, which are brought back today and implemented on Nike's latest Mercurial 360 Superful silhouette as well as the throwback Vapor version.
Nike's biggest stars will wear the Mercurial design corresponding to the year their nation won the tournament. Ousmane Dembele and Kylian Mbappé will don the 'R9' Mercurial's sported by Ronaldo Nezario at France's successful World Cup '98, Phillipe Coutinho will wear '02's silver and green Mercurial Vapor worn by champions Brazil, Federico Chiesa will wear '06's yellow and green Mercurial Vapor III silhouette to denote Italy's victory that year, Marco Asensio will wear the silver and orange Mercurial Vapor Superfly II's from '10 during Spain's glory era and Leroy Sané will wear the all-red Nike Mercurial Superfly IV design to rep the design worn by reigning champions Germany four years ago.
