Nike has finally unleashed the new Mercurial Superfly and Vapour 360, and they have delivered with aplomb.
The focus of the boot is all about the fit, where Nike has made it "the focal point" to ensure that players can accelerate and utilize their pace as well as they possibly can. The boot now contains game-changing 360 construction, which has been made possible through new developments in Nike's Flyknit technology.
The Mercurial Superfly 360 and Mercurial Vapor 360 now wrap the entire foot in Nike Flyknit. “This new innovation hugs the foot and eliminates the gaps between the foot and the soleplate. In fact, it eliminates the soleplate altogether,” explains Max Blau, VP of Nike Football Footwear.
The cutting-edge tech doesn't stop there. The Mercurial's will now be individually tuned per size via computational programming. “With previous Mercurials, we based everything on a size 9. But with Mercurial 360, we can deliver properly proportioned fit at every size,” explains Jeongwoo Lee, Nike Football Senior Design Director, with each size boot containing it's very own unique chassis to fit differing bone structures.
Nike's ACC technology is also incorporated into the model they're stitched together, eliminating additional skin grooves on the silhouette without compromising on performance. The model, as always, is built for the fastest players in the game. Dropping in a bright orange with a 'M' embellished on the heel, Lee also said that was intentional, as "the “M” is the last thing defenders will see when a Mercurial player blows by them.”

Current Ballon D'or holder and Nike athelte Cristiano Ronaldo was quick to herlad the new boots, saying. “My first reaction when I saw the new Mercurial was...the best boots ever! They fit straight away. The material, the design, the new technology, it’s amazing."
