The Women’s International Champions Cup (WICC) has long alluded fans because of a lack of broadcasting coverage – but DAZN have just changed that courtesy of their YouTube channel dedicated to women’s football.

Four of the best teams in women’s football will meet this month to compete in the prestigious WICC, and DAZN will broadcast every single minute of it for free to over 120 countries and territories across the world.

NWSL side Portland Thorns FC will host the event, which will also feature Houston Dash as well as European football giants Olympique Lyonnais and FC Barcelona.

The four-match event will showcase some of the game’s top players, some of which have recently touched down after two weeks in Tokyo for the Olympic Games.

The competition will be played over two days at Providence Park, the home ground for the Thorns and their male counterparts the Portland Timbers, who play in the MLS.

The best of North American soccer against the best of European football will go head-to-head to be crowned the 'World’s Best Club'.

The first game, Olympique Lyonnais vs FC Barcelona, will KO at 830pm ET on Wednesday 18th August (130am BST Thursday 19th August) and will be available both live and on demand with options for English, French and Spanish commentary via DAZN’s YouTube channel.
