Ever wondered what it would be like studying at an institution created by the brand which played an integral role in your childhood and the most influential creative designer working anywhere in the world right now? That curiosity was fulfilled as Virgil Abloh and Nike brought OFF CAMPUS to London.
In preparation for the much anticipated release of the Off-White x Nike "The Ten" collection, NikeLab location 1948 was transformed into a futuristic museum showcasing each of the designs accompanied by a unique visual representation of the collaboration.
We were lucky enough to be registered for a "MUSIC CURATION" lecture and workshop with Benji B, Josey Rebelle and Virgil Abloh himself.
After both DJs showcased their skills by mixing some influential tracks from both of the careers in real time, Benji B gifted students with a USB stick that had been loaded with a mix of tracks requested by students before class. Tracks included ASAP Ferg – 'Nandos',vASAP Rocky – 'Pesos' and Drake – 'Still Here'.
After class, students were giving the opportunity to head back to 1948 and chose one of the first 'The Ten' releases to purchase ahead of their on-sale date. The choice was between the Off-White x Nike Air Max 90, Prestos, Vapormax or Air Jordan 1.
Activities at OFF CAMPUS continue until September 17th.
