Inter Milan will be ending their iconic shirt sponsor partnership with Pirelli tyres after the end of the 2020/21 season.
Pirelli chief Marco Tronchetti Provera confirmed the company will end its time as main sponsor on Inter's shirt for the first time in 26 years, bringing to an end an era of unprecedented drip at the Nezzazzuri.
The tyre company's logo havs been a mainstay on Inter Milan's kits since the 1995-96 season. Pirelli x Inter was one of the longest – and most iconic – shirt sponsorship partnerships in football history – with the current deal bringing in €10.5 million per season for the current Serie A leaders.
After PSG ditched their iconic Fly Emirates sponsorship ahead of the 2019-20 season to link up with Accor Live Limitless, Inter are the next club to have an ultra-clean sponsor chalked off their shirts.
The shirt sponsor was originally expected to be replaced by Chinese real estate group Evergrande, but with Inter owners Suning currently in the midst of a financial crisis – with reports circulating that they want to sell the club – there is still no confirmation as to who will become the club's main shirt sponsor from the 2021-2022 season.
