PUMA have just unveiled the Italy 2022 home shirt, the last shirt the brand will work on with the Azzurri before their deal ends at the end of the year.

Despite Italy failing to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the new jersey looks to the country's rich heritage in the competition, inspired by their four World Cup wins in 1934, 1938 in 1982, and finally in 2006.  

Featuring gold accents and throwback fonts, the front of the jersey is split into tonal quadrants to honour the four generations of World Champions. The new jersey is available in two versions, with an authentic  ULTRAWEAVE version arriving with DryCELL technology and a replica jersey is made of 100 percent recycled polyester with DryCELL technology.

With adidas set to take over kit supply for the Italians in January 2023, the reveal of their latest home shirt also comes as the last from PUMA – with the kit set to be donned for the first time in the 2022 Finalissima Final against Argentina on June 1 at Wembley Stadium.

Speaking about the kit, Giorgio Chiellini said: "This jersey will be the last one I will wear on the field when representing Italy. I am proud to be able to take the field at Wembley Stadium wearing the blue of Italy for the last time," said the national team captain. "This jersey will remain in my heart forever. As always, I will do my best to honour it."
